Forgive Yourself

Forgive Yourself

We all mess up sometimes. So why is learning to forgive yourself a lot harder than forgiving others?

Have you ever noticed how you can hold on to past mistakes long after they occurred? Some of us hold on to things for years!

If you look in the mirror and look yourself in the eyes but you don’t like the person you see, then you need to forgive yourself and learn how to love yourself again.

Forgiving yourself can be much harder than forgiving someone else. When you’re carrying around a sense of blame for something that has happened in the past, this bundle of negativity burrowing deep into yourself can cause a never-ending, sense of unhappiness. Forgiving yourself is an important act of moving forward and releasing yourself from the past. It’s also a way of protecting your health and general well-being.

If you are holding yourself responsible for an error you committed in the past, I implore you to forgive yourself today and move on. Let go of the heavy load of blame you are heaping on your shoulders and give yourself the opportunity to be free.

Have you committed any error in the past which you are still blaming yourself for? Do share, and let’s see how we can help each other.

xoxo
