My husband and I recently got married after being together for eight years. During the vows, I noticed his sounded unusually formal, but I assumed he had put in extra effort to make the vows special. His words moved me to tears, and everyone seemed touched by them. However, today, while cancelling our shared ChatGPT account, I stumbled upon a file titled “Vows” and discovered that he had used AI to write them, copying and pasting the generated text verbatim. This made me realize that what I thought were his heartfelt words were actually crafted by AI.
Feeling deeply hurt and betrayed, I remember how much I appreciated his vows and how he assured me he meant every word. As someone who values personal, heartfelt expressions above all else, this is really painful, especially since I spent considerable time writing my vows. The fact that he used AI to create something so significant makes me feel foolish and sad. I don’t want to embarrass him or start a fight, but I need to address how this has affected me. How do I approach him about this without causing unnecessary conflict? Any advice on how to handle this situation would be greatly appreciated.

June 11, 2024 at 10:33 pmI think the husband(man) had words to tell her on the wedding day but didn’t know how to place the words, so he decided to use the AI. Just ask him when he is in his happy mood, if he really meant all those words he told you and if it was drafted by him. In a playful manner. Then you’ll get a good and truthful response from him.
