HAPPY NEW MONTH

 

    There is a study that says,” human nature prefers familiarity”, meaning as humans, we dread change. As much as we claim to want change, we dread it for the fear of the unknown, I have met women that have endured abusive and loveless relationships, for flimsy reasons like ” I am thirty-five, i am not ready to start from the scratch, i need to stick to this one, I need to get married” and “i am thirty- eight with no university degree, two kids and no job, I am not particularly hot on the dating market”. Nobody said it would be easy but you have to stare at your fears in the face and triumph over it. It takes courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure. But there is no security in what is no longer meaningful, there is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life and in change there is power. So get up my friend and make something out of your life, quit that job that makes you unhappy and zaps the energy out of you, follow your dreams and start that business you’ve been meaning to start. Steve jobs says and I quote “your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life, don’t be trapped by dogma- which is living with other people’s thinking, don’t let the noise of other people’s opinion drown out your inner voice. And most importantly have the courage to follow your heart and intuition”. It’s not too late for you to go back to school and get that degree.

 

         Let’s make a pact together, SL FABZ, to make a list of our deepest fears and face them this month.
