Who will dry our tears?

I have been in shock since the news broke about the four young students slaughtered like chickens in a community called Aluu.

At what point did we lose compassion for our fellow human beings? Death is assured for every life eventually, but no one deserves to die like those young men died – no one! Death dishonoured them. Even in justice there should be civility and modesty. That is why we are humans, and not beasts grovelling in the jungle. That is why we are made in God’s likeness so that we can be like Him – kind, merciful and fair.

Ugonna, Lloyd, Tekana, Chidiaka were young men with dreams and aspirations; Lloyd was already on his way to becoming a rap artiste; who knows what else these men had dreamed up for their future? But with many swipes from heavy metals and planks their dreams were slayed. It is the most gruesome act I have ever seen and I am afraid how this action reveals the true state and sentiments of many Nigerians.

Why do we permit jungle justice? Do we feel helpless with the system thus take justice into our own hands? What are our fears? What would ever justify the actions of a community that stole the lives of students who lived amongst them – lives that only God can give?

We may never know the truth of what really led to the killings at Aluu – that truth died with the four of them. All we can ask is for justice. That is the only way the tears of the mothers of these young lives may dry. It is the only way we all can feel safe because no matter the situation, lives should not be snatched so brutally. This is a society with laws.

As we seek for what is right, let death not procure more deaths. We do not need to burn down Aluu community. We do not need to shed more blood. Not every child, mother and father in the community killed or endorsed the killing of the young men. They too deserve to be protected from the brutality that has ensued from all of this.

Life is a beautiful thing; do not steal another’s opportunity to experience it.

May their deaths not be in vain.

I wonder why people, chiefs, elders, youths that has family should support such an ungodly act. It hurt so much to see how heartless and wicked humans can be on their fellow humans. We are created by God,why should anyone take an others life, knowing fully well that you can create a life. The question is are we still living in the state of nature? Is there no more laws that govern our society? Should we live in fear? Who will savage this ugly situation? God please have mercy on us.

It is with a heart full of grieve and sorrow that am writing this, there is really no doubt that the maiming, brutal handling and gruesome murder of these four very promising young men is no different from the handiwork of the dreaded “Boko Haram” sect. We in the Southern region claim we “love” ourselves that we cannot perpetuate such animalistic act but alas what is the case in this scenario? Where is the love?
The Nigerian Police that went to sleep on the day of this massacre will equally be handicapped on the day their own children will be massacred!
May their souls rest in peace – Amen.

I have cried my tears dry, I have wondered in silence why. I have asked for justification; can there ever be one? I have only one thing to say to us all; GOD IS ALIVE, GOD IS WATCHING. May all connected with this act be hanged, may their generation be cursed for murdering my boy Chiadikaobi and his pals. When will I stop shedding tears for you son. I remember u like yesterday when you and my kids were in FGC Port-Harcourt nursery and primary sch. We rode to school many a time. Chiadikaobi Biringa; ther realy is’ no love in the City’, Your young innocent life…God is watching. Peace.

Its so tragic. This has nothing to do with justice….. its the evil that we have allowed to eat deep into our society. Worst of all is those that should ve stopped it but refused to. I think we should somewhat keep our eyes open n be vigilant. This can happen to any1 one n we shouldn’t wait until it gets to our doorstep. Report any trace of evil acts around you no matter how small.

A Strange Land Aluu.Tell me what the name aluu means? I hear the sky whisper ‘abomination’ A strange Land- ‘aluu’. A land I know not. The ground that never swallowed my placenta. A strange land I was sojourned. The same sand I walked on. In the quest for knowledge. In the pursuit for mental liberation, I met my end. The desired end I dreamt of was shattered by a people within. I prayed for a fruitful day at dawn Instead I was offered a bitter tale. I struggled to but couldn’t tell. The same people within. Oh! How my blood turns cold in my helpless watch. My blood cried for hope as each stick hits my scalp Oh! Their scream for death suppresses my heart beat. My nakedness was made public with shame as my cover. My nakedness meant nothing to me; all I cared was to be heard. All ears was deaf but the whispers of death. No hope is all I hear; helpless is all I see in the weakening lid of my friends. Our soul paths in same way Mama, I cried for the love I felt. I outgrown again Papa, I yearned for your spank than these barbarians on me. Did God watch too or was heartbroken again for his own creation? Did mama feel her heart melt as I painfully transformed into a ghost? Would my sin be matched with my own kind of death? This is my Golgotha. The machete to my head, the tyres around my neck, The scream from my soul, my joy and pain, my faith, My curse, my destiny, my forgiveness, my spit, my urine, my tears, my blood. A land I know not, ALUU took it all Mama please do something Papa! Papa!! Papa!!! A strange Land took it all.

THIS IS DEDICATED TO ALL THE FAMILIES WHO LOST THEIR CHILDREN IN ALUU COMMUNITY IN PORT-HARCOURT.

wat happened? what was their crime? were they given the chance to be heard? is it that the perperturates just wanted to kill and they were the unlucky ones? if this community finally come to find out that they killed innocent humans like themselves what next? infact God is really merciful because if it any other god,at the point of these young guys death those about doing it should have been the ones to die, what about those who stoodby to watch as this crime aganist humanity was going on? do they no that they are equally guilty just like those who were commiting this crude act? yet still God allowed it to happen, we are humans and our willingness to help is limited but God who is Almighty is not limited.. his word says Vengence is mine and i will repay… if we will all look to God in this very trying time… He will definately speak. this shows the amount of rot that we have allowed into our communities I have not watched it yet and i wont because i cant stand it just people talking about this scene shows how heartless man can be. God save us all from the hands of wicked men….Amen Janet from Tamale/Ghana

3rd-Its high time we begin to LOVE. I notice the hate is getting toomuch, we need prayers too concerning love. remember the bible says “in the last days the love of many would wax cold”…..

As for the government-Its failed already, everybody lotting for themselves.

Its only in nigeria that you hear, am a hausa, yoruba, igbo man. Tribalism is major problem.
But everybody is dying to get american citizenship just to asnwer “AMERICA” In the US” u dont hear i am a georgian, texasian or etc everybody says am an american. If a decision is taken its for americans not a single state or group of people. Every decision is meant for the benefit of the america.
