Virgo, Cancer, Aries, Pisces, Aquarius, Gemini, Leo….
Nearly everyone has heard of the signs of the zodiac, mostly through “sun-sign astrology” columns, where the signs are taken as major determinants of the personality. These signs are generally linked to the date a person was born. Each sign has different personality traits which proponents claim are found in people who have that Zodiac sign.
It is not unusual for you to find your Zodiac sign and see more than two or three traits which describe your personality. For this reason, many tend to believe it completely. Daily horoscopes on the other hand is another thing entirely. They predict the event(s) that people with particular zodiac signs will encounter daily.
Some years back, I used to have a colleague who never missed reading the daily horoscopes in newspapers. Whenever he felt funny or something was happening to him, he would explain that his horoscope had predicted it. When things went well, he would say he knew it was going to happen that way because his horoscope said so.
I’ve never understood this concept properly so I can’t even call myself a believer. What about you?

I never knew abt the color till now “Blue” (the pix above), sky blue is my dream color, nothing changes it. my boyfriend is a leo, he don’t believe in it but he is just like it.

Maybe the traits attributed to a person who falls under a particular zodiac sign happen to tally with characters the individual exhibits, but then, what do you know? Humans always find a way of convincing themselves that they do stuffs that they really don’t — at least not as a habit, much less of a character— A typical individual can fall under a Capricorn and perhaps they say Capricorns are caring, he or she just hurriedly probes his/herself and says, “Oh! That’s true!” Convincing themselves with a smile across their face and it goes on and on for every single trait attributed to them. If zodiac signs were real, the world would be near perfect cos I don’t think any zodiac sign attributes a person as bloodthirsty but people still kill; neither as a drunk, striker, gender discriminant or womanizer but people still exhibit such. In summary, I believe people are born with destinies — of course determined by God — however, they still have the choice of fulfilling that destiny, modifying it (i.e. a good modification from faithfulness in that which you ought to do) or taking the other road at the T-junction and screwing up.

August 25, 2023 at 5:03 amI’m with you! Don’t believe in them bc I am a Christian. See 2 Kings 23: 4 & 5. They are a form of idolatry. If you claim to know & love God, stay away from astrology. God knows your future, not the stars. Believing your astrology reading over God’s plan for you is a slap in His Face! See the post on my website/blog for 8-17-23.

Instead of acquiescing you can face it.God does not give you any challenge that is too great for you to handle. Remember this as you look at your life. Have the courage to examin everything in your life, including the things that make you afraid.Now’s the time to go for it. Examin your life carefully to see what your fears are. Make a list of the things that come to mind as real fears no matter how small or large they may be. LOOK at the impact of each of your fears on your life. Be specific as you write down your finfings. No matter how silly or painful your revelations may be, write them down. Ask yourself what lessons you can learn from the fears that have been so uncomfortable in the past? How can you engage gentleness to relieve you of your constriction? Write down the inspiration that comes up for you. SIT QUIETLY FOR A FEW MINUTES WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED. Take several deep breaths, inviting the air to enter your lungs out toward the universe, and slowly introducing the air back from whence it came. As you sit, ask your heart for it’s wisdom. Ask for the inner guidians to trll you how you can break free from the fears that have been plaguing you. Be still and listen for the answer. Begin to write whatever this meditation has revealed. Don’t censor your words. Just record your inspiration. Review your journal to see what wisdom has come from your heart. In your profession this may help you with your script writing. Xoxo
