The Help! When I walked out of the Cinema many months back after stealing a few hours out of my crazy schedule to watch the movie, I felt light; mostly because of the emotional story told so articulately through powerful characters. When it isn’t hitting hard blows on a society that should be ashamed of its past discriminations, The Help is cheeky and humorous. Of course, Octavia Spencer stands out with her impressive performance; the height of which was feeding her former boss with pie spiced with poop (Good Heavens! LOL!). She was favoured as the best in the category of best supporting role, and took home the Oscar this year. The Help is the story of African-American maids and the hardship they went through serving their white Madams. In all of this, an aspiring young author decides to write their story. It is an easy picture with a lot of brilliant scenes and accurate dialogue.
And if you can, read the book too! *wink!

its a nice movie..i hav seen it.its for us black people…its an inspiring movie.
Its quite an interesting movie full with emotions that’s enable us understand the true states of parental love and care.its really good for us youths to have a glow on this movie and lessons.A million thanks Aunty Steph for a job well done ok.A congratulations!!! I have nt seen the movie but I ve read the book for like five times. The Help is a fantastic book.
Today as I was reading the news feeds on facebook I saw this web site and said I should give it a trail and honestly since when I opened it, its difficult to take my eyes off it. In deed, this is a remarkable work by Stephanie and she should just keep it up. And about the movie ” The Help ” I’ll get my own copy to watch within the week. Thank you

There s a memorable page in The Help that I typed and pasted on my mirror. It has and still helping me deal with my inadequacies and physical flaws. A conversation bt Constantine and Skeeter.;Skeeter was crying bcos a boy called her ‘ugly’. Constantine said to her and I quote: “Ugly live up on the inside. Ugly be a hurtful,mean person”
“Every morning,until u dead in the ground,u gone have to make this decion. U gone have to ask urself,am I ugly? Am I gone believe what them fools say about me”
I realised that I actually have a choice in what I could believe. We all do.

wooh’ I watched this movie some months back@ d cinema, .The performances in movie are so spectacular that the audience were left powerless in feeling the trumphs and sorrow of the people on screen,believe you me, i was in between seats with some white friends as we watched,they were so emotional.This movie ”The HELP” is so wonderful,evocative and its a reflection of history..Steph dear, some of the scene that really touch my soul was when emma stone who was Eugene skeeter phena in the move asked voila davis who was the maid as Aibileen clark when she was born..Quotes from Aibileen— I was born in 1911 in chikasaw county ,piedmont plantation.Then Eugene asked her—‘And you know as a girl growing up that oneday you will be a maid?’ Aibleen–Yes ma’am. Eugene—‘And you know because?. Aiblileen—‘my mama was a maid,my grandmaa was a house slave. indeed this is historical movie.thanx for sharing…cheers”
