Apart from the fact that dodo is the sweetest tasting food ever Laughing, it comes with a lot of health benefits. Check this out. According to SFGate, these vegetables called plantains are rich in certain vitamins and minerals that contribute to good health. It supplies fiber which promote an efficient digestive system and can prevent constipation; it supplies Potassium, an essential mineral that regulates your heart beat and enables your muscles to function normally, vitamin A  to support your eyesight and help prevent certain eye disorders. What else? A serving of plantains contains small amounts of calcium, iron, magnesium, folate and vitamin K. Plantain can be cooked and eaten in different ways. SL Fabz, how do you like to eat yours and what is your favourite food?

I equally enjoy plantain but I prefer to eat it boiled most times with gizzard sauce. My favourite food is dried beans cooked with either dried fish or ice fish. Dried beans are a good source of protein and iron; they’re naturally cholesterol-free and low in fat and sodium; and they even contain calcium. As if that wasn’t enough, they’re also high in fiber and folate and help to maintain a healthy digestive track. They are also a very economical source of protein.
