Take a minute and think about some of the most successful people you know.
I’d bet they’re great with people, are super-productive, and think differently than most. After all, that’s how they got to be where they are today.
Jealous of them? You don’t have to be. You can learn these same skills by studying some of the best business books that can help you take your game to the next level. Here’s 7 of my favorites.
1. How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie

This best-selling book that helped to launch a personal growth empire should be required reading for everyone who wants to learn how to build and nurture relationships for a lifetime.
2. Purple Cow by Seth Godin
3. Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

Think And Grow Rich is arguably the most famous success book of all time. It has changed the lives of millions of people through the years.
4. The Monk and the Riddle by Randy Komisar

The book’s timeless advice – to make work pay not just in cash, but in experience, satisfaction, and joy – will be embraced by anyone who wants success to come not just from what they do, but from who they are.
5. The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is recognized as one of the most influential books ever with a holistic, integrated, principle-centered approach for solving personal and professional problems.
6. One Minute Manager by Kenneth Blanchard

If you’re going to read one management book in your life, this should be it. It’s simple. And the advice works.
7. Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson

Since change happens either to the individual or by the individual, Spencer Johnson shows us that what matters most is the attitude we have about change.
Part of my goals this year is to read more. I haven’t read all the books on this list, just some, but I intend to read them.
How about you? Have you read any of the books on this list? Do you have any other influential business books to add to this list?

January 21, 2015 at 10:58 amGreat selections. I have read # 1, 3, 5 & 6. I’ll definitely check out the rest.
Number 1 by far was my best and most useful. I stumbled into a half-turned one at Lagos in 1991. That book changed my life and helped me navigate life both in U.S. And Nigeria. I eventually bought my first full copy in US in 1996.
I have both print and audio version. Every once in awhile I refer back to the book and get dazzled all over again.
A definite must-read for anyone who desires to improve his or her life.
