Imagine this scenario:
Your friend just got the kind of job she had been dreaming of all her life. The pay is great, the office location is favourable and the working condition is comfortable.
One month into her new job, her boss starts making subtle passes at her. Her boss is a married man whose wife and children live abroad. He claims he doesn’t want an affair with her, but just wants to be closer than necessary. He asks her for dates often, wants her to come to his house on weekends, wants to drop her off from home every evening, and gives her more bonus than her colleagues.
Every time she declines a date, he reminds her that he doesn’t want an affair with her, but just wants to discuss work outside the office. He also reminds her that he has the power to keep her in the company or kick her out. She finds this very uncomfortable, but is very passionate about her job and desperately wants to keep it.
This is actually a real life scenario presented to me by a younger friend recently. If you were in her shoes, what would you do? How should she say no to her boss?
Let her NO be NO and her Yes, Yes.
Let her Flee from all appearance of evil,
Let her mk her stand known.
The Holy book say so
she should stop working there because he will not stop tell he get what he want i have gone through with this before.He will say just one before you get to know he will be demanding for it every day.
Nothing much to do application of wisdom is needed…be close to him, but at thesame time keep the gap and prove to ya boss that U are RESPONSIBLE
Let her stand on the ground and say No,because if God sees that she really have the courage,God will provide better job than that one for her.even if she accept to date him,the job might not last.
This could be a test of time, I strongly believe that there is no temptation that would come our way that Almighty will not help us scale through. I advise she stand to her ground and pray about it. Greater blessings awaits her if sh overcomes. Don’t give in to the devil’s promises. It is well with your soul
She should resign and look 4 another work. Cos if she accept him, he will still push her out any day his done wit her. God wil give her another better job. OR sametimes bosses use dat avenue 2 tempt / test works 2 know if d person is trust worthy.
Let her follow here heart and do what she think is neccesarily right!
There is no point in hiding behind d mask? Every gal knws wen passes is bin made to her even wen d guys denies it. For me,she shud knws wat he stand for.eda for it or against it but in all wisdom is only profitable to them that hv nd use it. #my opinion
Am base in melong Cameroon the so call boss should know and bear in mind that she is not for him and that act is against Ethics Of Work good work goes with conscience so he should allow what is x to x and what belongs to b to b. Thanks
It will definitely come with consequences, but she should stand by her NO.
It’s a dramatic situation but for my own perspective, i will advise her to back off. if her boss sack her, then she can as well hunt for another job… God created her for a purpose, & she must search for it & accomplish the mission. scripture said that if one door closed many more will open. its a challenge of faith. I just want to tell her that there is nothing more precious than her body, in this world. So, she should forfeit the job, and pray to God for a better job. And definitely, she will acquire a better job, by the grace of God.
Just say no, i have been in the same situation, i just looked at him in the eye and told him that i cant and that, if he likes he can terminate my contract because bosses normally thinks that they can take advantage of that because you are afraid of loosing the job, so tell him all that is not important compared to the person you are. he respects me even more and even promoted me
