It’s that time of the year again when many Christians from all over the world gather at Israel. Sure, lots of Nigerians are there too and I just want to use this opportunity to send a shout out to everyone who is embarking on this year’s Holy Pilgrimage.
The significance of the Pilgrimage varies to different people, but for most, it is a tool for moral and spiritual rejuvenation and an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible. It is a personal and deeply spiritual experience, and it must be really awesome to walk in the very places that Jesus, his disciples and lots of other great people mentioned in the Bible walked.
I hope to go someday, and I join my faith with those who are praying for Nigeria far away in Israel. May our prayers be answered.

In answer to questions from two of John’s disciples in John 1:35-39 about where he leaves, Jesus said “come and see” and that is the phrase that captures the heart of pilgrimage. Israel is one of the most amazing and beautiful country I have ever visited. I was overwhelmed by the realness of the spirit in the places that we visited. The experience was awesome as a disciple of Christ and I am truly blessed to have walked the places where Jesus Christ and the patriarchs once walked.
The visit was inspirational, very meaningful, spiritual and a blessing to cherish, a tool to educate and inspire and the bible came alive for me. Also, it was very practical, critical and sometimes thought provoking and life changing in a way, I mean when you visit Bethlehem, Jericho, and see the separation walls. But apart from that, when you visit the Holy land, Christmas and Easter (14 stations of the cross?) will never be the same.
Visit Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem..Shalom.
