We may have lost Maya Angelou, but her legacy stay with us.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am relishing one of her best works this morning and I thought to share.<\/span><\/p>\n

You may have read it before; it\u2019s always good to read such powerful words every now and again\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0But when I start to tell them,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0They think I’m telling lies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I say,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0It’s in the reach of my arms,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The span of my hips,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The stride of my step,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The curl of my lips.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I’m a woman<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Phenomenally.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Phenomenal woman,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0That’s me.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I walk into a room<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Just as cool as you please,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Then they swarm around me,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0A hive of honey bees.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0It’s the fire in my eyes,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0And the flash of my teeth,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The swing in my waist,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0And the joy in my feet.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I’m a woman<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Phenomenally.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Phenomenal woman,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0That’s me.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Men themselves have wondered<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0What they see in me.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0They try so much<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0But they can’t touch<\/span><\/p>\n
