The sad events of killings and abductions of some young people in some Northern states recently has left me with a heavy heart.
In Borno state, 20 young women were abducted after a raid at a village. As if that wasn’t terrible enough, about 29 students were reportedly killed at the Federal Government College, Yobe.
I can’t begin to imagine the devastation and grief the parents and loved ones of these affected young ones must be feeling. News reports say most of the victims in the Yobe attack were teenage boys.
It’s so sad to see the lives of these promising young ones brutally cut short. My heart goes out to their families and friends. And to the loved ones of those young girls who were abducted, may God be with them in this difficult time. I pray those girls are found and returned safely to their homes.
I pray for peace in Nigeria.
